5 things to look for when choosing a video company

Choosing the right production team for your business can be hard. Follow these great tips to see if they are the right fit for you:

Look for examples of their work.

From this, you will see the quality of what they do and see if it matches what you had in mind for your product.

If the quality is below par, move on!

Have they had any previous endorsements?

They should have testimonials on their sites, and even better if the testimonials are videos.

This proves they have made their clients really happy in the past and proven themselves that they can make really good videos.

Are they Artists or Marketers?

What I mean by this is that they may have fantastic looking videos, but completely forget the marketing objectives. Make sure the company you choose will be able to get you good results, not just make you a pretty video.

Are they experienced in the type of video you want?

Do they specialise in testimonials? Animations? Explainer videos? Events? Live streaming? Training films?

Many video companies will have real expertise in a few areas of video production, but they can’t be experts in all. If you are looking for an animation specialist, for instance, then find examples of their work in this area before contacting them.

Have they won any awards?

Video companies at the top of their games should have won awards or at least been finalists with awards in the last 5 years, there may be video companies with years of experience, but not necessarily creating videos worthy of recognition.

Its not the be all and end all, but its a sure sign of high standards.

Do they offer unlimited video editing?

On some occasions you will end up with an edited version of a video that you might want to tweak and make a few changes to, which means asking the video company to work on your video a little longer to ensure it’s ‘jussstttt’ right. Unfortunately, most video companies will charge for extra editing time so try to find one that will offer unlimited editing until you are happy with the final product.
